The high-pitched battle on the pitch
Where twenty-two gladiators are pitched
Two armies against each other
With bone breaking balls to jet!
O gentleman’s game,
On tout faces written aggression
The batsman faces an impolite impression
Unkind yells and cruel war cries
Etiquette is the name of the game
Malicious smiles hidden under
Jaws gnashing teeth, grinding
Infield and outside umpires minding
The warriors with stringent laws
Cats fall on each other to tear asunder
Crowds cheers wildly in
stadium
There played a Master Blaster
And further in time a Little
Master
(The actual master is money)
Sponsors, organizers and
players
All fill their pockets with
premium
