carrying some unwanted burden? You can throw away the burden and live your life in joy and peace.
Why do you look back, O man,
when life beacons you ahead?
Embrace what time offers you;
what is behind you is dead.
Why should you be carrying
the soiled burden of the past?
Why shackle yourself in chains,
when you can soar in sky vast?
Why wallow in unholy pools,
you can adorn a
throne of gold?
You are a child of the Holy One,
how to unholy you can be sold?
Leave your bundle at His feet,
who can lighten all your load.
You’ll walk with joy and peace,
Singing praises on life’s road.
