Of the Bengali daily Aajkaal
Carries a magic of Merlin!!!
It shows an amply branched tree
Each branch decked with
Many juicy fruits temptin’!
Apples, oranges, litchis,
Melons, strawberries, grapes
Name it and it bears them
As if the tree by magic shapes
Fruits of your tongue’s choice
Hang from generous branches
In awe the expectant gapes!
I’d have loved to taste them
But they have lost their juice
They have turned into stones
Whichever one you’d choose
The tree is stuck in court marsh
The director and his cute P.A.
Behind bars in sorrow muse!
The name Saradha is an abuse
For some misused the money
While all ought to have a share
Just a few sucked the honey
Where dishonesty freely rules
Of the investors making fools
Leading them to suicidal journey!
