What do you see, O visionary
Relate what rises to your eyes
Describe what’s forming to pass
After the sunset?
What is taking shape
Behind the horizon?
A night is approaching!
A night?
After a sunset it’s always
a night’s turn to step in
That ‘s common knowledge!
Please say more.
Will the night be
Restful or restless?
Will it be starry and clear?
Will it bring blessing and
cheer?
Or do the signs foretell
Sorrowful tidings?
Dear Son,
Brace yourself
Call up all your strength
Be alert and prepared
After a sunset a night turn
is certain
But this night will be
Starless, moonless and bereft
of all light
All sky will be covered
With dark clouds and poisonous
fume
No ray will beam anywhere
It will be the Devil’s night!
His hordes will wreak havoc
And hellfire will rise in
your garden
It’ll burn your flowers
Singe the leaves
Hurt the trees to their roots
Suffocating smoke will choke
All breathing lungs
And drive all the birds away
Master, it’s so dreadful
So terrible to hear!
Is there no hope?
The little lamp the Servant
Has kept in his room
With an ambitious hope
Is too puny to enlighten
Too tiny to brighten the Eden
Ruled by self-serving values
The winds will spew violence
And blood!!
But soon, a moonchild will
rise
It will reflect the Sun
And that will be enough!
