She sits on the bed, her head between her knees
Silent she is but her posture speaks a volume
A dark cave it is where no ray of light she sees
What has been on her that has so broken her ?
What is the burden that has crushed her this way?
Tarry near her O heart, perhaps that would lighten her
O sister, if you
wish, of your silence speak to me
What is it that has robbed you of your happiness?
Perhaps I can't take your pain, with you let me be?
She lifts her dried up eyes and an empty face
Her lips quiver too injured to utter a word
The nurse shakes her head saying “a rape case!”
Oh! the satanic act that assaults human dignity
Hurts, injures and mutilates body, mind and soul
An act condemnable to hellfire to hopeless eternity
The utter degradation, the fathomless insulting feel
Some lustful male muscles have subjected her to
I can’t do much, O merciful Lord, do touch and heal!
