The luminous ball of warm fire
Retires behind the horizon
Darkness descends on the
land,
Diminishing vision to narrow
Limiting life to confined room
As power hungers to expand!
In its victory the night roars
Its proud laughter trembles
Mocking the sun in recline,
Beating its arrogant breast
In violent reaction to ‘others’
No a drop humility to incline!
The One above smiles at fools
Can’t they see Nature’s walk?
Change is the
mightiest law,
What is now is different soon
Night gives stage to new morn
Wiser was he this truth who saw!
