The Cuckoo - Crow Love

A lone crow and a cuckoo
Sat together on a line
Whatever others may say
They made a pair fine.

What are they speaking of
Getting each other to know
Is it the joys of winged life
Or in friendship to grow?

It is a strange sight sure
For they are of different kind
Both wear feathers black
But they’re of unlike mind!

One’s strains are so divine
While the other is hoarse
While one loves to be tidy
The other'
s manners coarse

Yet the duo there on the line
Seated lovingly side by side
Drink of each other’s love
While morning moments ride
