Unwritten Laws

Darkness has descended

The light of day has ended

The night is in motion too

Every moment, every second

The sun and the stars shining

The planets and satellites lining

The asteroids and meteorites

With unwrit law they’ve bond.

With infinite invisible strings

Whole nature in happiness sings

The trees and plants on earth

 Creatures large and small

All obey laws traced by the One

Without His constitution

Survives no life seen or unseen

On bidden paths they fall.

Can you astray from His path

To have a disobedient bath

In the river of sinful squalor

And continue to be proud

The voice of conscience silenced

All teachers and guides fenced

A sentence has a full stop

The grammar says it aloud.

So man why do you play God?

You are only a croaking toad

What are you but a minuscule dust?

Returning to the original form

If you’re the ruler over multitude

Let it not robe you with attitude

For the king and the subject alike

Are subject of the eternal norm!

Helpless

No, I don’t like the pollution
That floats in the air around me
In the world and
In this garden
In fact, in my core I hate it
But I can’t do anything about it.
I can’t even shout about it.
I’m helpless.

Dishonesty that is seated
On the throne
So arrogantly
Wearing the crown
And falsehood that cheats
The sweating bodies and bones
Of their legitimate wages
 I abhor the abomination
In the sacred temple
But I cannot move my hand
I am tied tight with multiple chains.

My child is in their jail
The cruel wizard has the power
Over me to blackmail
My mind revolts against
The corruption covered with
 a deceitful honeyed smile
But my voice has been choked
I am throttled constantly
With my back to the wall

Only my mind is free to think
My soul is free to hope
One day chosen by heaven
A ray of lightning will shatter
 the grip of iron chains
and purify the garden from
the foul polluted  unhealthy air
O Holy Spirit, let it be soon
Maranatha!

The Battle

That angry woman

Isn’t she like the goddess Durga

Or like the ferocious lion

The ten handed deity is astride?

She gives a roar

Louder than her vehicle

And certainly fearsome more

Vanquishing the demon tide!

Her husband like buffalo head

May give a battle unequal

But is destined to be dead

Trampled by the female side!

There isn’t a thing

The malekind can do but

Be a brute on the bird’s wing

Thus hurt his own pride

O Eve, be tender as breeze wave

And the Adam’s son mighty

Would bow to you a slave

You rule his domain wide!

The Winged Sister in My Room

She didn’t ask for my permission
She just took it for granted
For she is a sister dear to my heart
Her nest in my room she planted

The winged singer I meet daily
At the meadow of morning walks
On the path she greets me
Though not our language she talks.

Dry twigs, leaves and grass
She placed on the tubelight
She knew I was not a brother
To give her an opposing fight

Probably she’s laid some eggs
And is hatching them with care
It’s just a matter of some days
The nest her chicks will share

Until then I must honor her trust
My love I must express in deed
To raise her family a shelter safe
A dear sister of mine is in need.

Teen Boys in School

Oh, the teen boys in schools

They can grow in knowledge

Yet they might still be fools

When energy runs in veins

And muscles can lift weights

But mind might be in chains

The young hearts fall for girls

Yet go to any length for them

A magnet sends them in whirls

Ready they’re to give their life

And also to take that of a rival

For a sweet never to be wife!

Oh, the teen boys in schools

They can grow in knowledge

Yet, they might still be fools
