To Rid of the Burden / The Financial Load-2

This man in Guj was greater
He went ten steps further
He planned even deeper
To rid of his burden senile!

He was more worldly- lettered
Thus he was less fettered
His scheme he so bettered
Perfected for quite a while!

He acted one moment right
When all were out of sight
In his heart  'twas dark night
His mind moved with guile!

He helped his mother to the roof
His good senses were all aloof
His conscience didn’t utter woof
Shoved his load down in a pile!

To dress the crime as suicide
He’d ridden the longest ride
But from open eyes couldn’t hide
Cameras saw and kept the file!

Oh son,  are you free of your burden
Your heart looks more  heavily laden
Your mom is  gone, thought mistaken
She remains with you stronger to rile!

The Financial Load

The son went to the holy place
at the Bay of Bengal seaside
To worship at the Kapil’s temple
And religion’s rules to abide

The man able and healthy
Took his aged mother along
For that is the duty of a son
He didn’t want to be in wrong

What a good son in his forties
A portly wife and children teen
He had left his family at home
While his mind plotted mean

Before the Sagar fair ended
The son returned to his abode
His aged mother behind he left
To lessen his financial load!

The good people in the fair
to hosp the senile they brought
high and low, far and wide around
for the missing son they sought!

His home address they probed
The family to another had moved
Abandoning the mother to fate
The womb which bore him and loved.

Is it the nadir humans have come?
For mother’s love is it the return?
That when she needed the support
She was dumped to die and burn?

Fight, Fight, Fight, Fight

Fight, fight, fight, fight
There’s nothing else to do;
To know that you’re alive
So fight, fight, fight, fight!

Fight for your dear life,
Fight to procure a wife,
Fight to earn more money;
Fight to taste the honey.
Fight to feel your might;
So, fight, fight, fight, fight!

Fight to extend your border,
Fight to create a disorder,
Even when there’s no reason;
In season and out of season.
In a crowd show your height!
So, fight, fight, fight, fight!

To seize the power to rule,

to make the citizenry a fool;
Profusely to confuse their mind

Lie freely to tie them in  bind.
To sway votes everything’s right
So, fight, fight, fight, fight!

When Life is the Cry of the Core

It’s the dawn
Of the second day
Of the New Year
Showering joys and peace
And a still new cheer.

Blessings and good wishes
Are floating freely
In the morning hour
Musn’t I hold and receive
That God wills to shower!

Surely life can be more
To the waiting graces
I must open the door
Why mustn’t  I live life
When that’s the cry of the core?

A Beggar's New Year

There were fireworks in the sky
There was DJ music on the street
Everywhere crackers  burst loudly
Everywhere danced joyous feet!

To welcome the New Year they say
They must hog all the pleasure
What is our earthly life after all
Isn’t it a ever decreasing treasure?

Let a  year end  or a year new begin
For a beggar what’s the difference?
Twelve months or thirteen, why care
It’s my hunger I must daily fence!

If the sun  begins to rise in the west
And slopes in the east to descend
Why bother  whence it starts journey
And about  where it decides  to end!

365 days, let it be less or more
I must sit by the  shuffling throng
When I don’t earn a cent any day
That’s a fact for me aching  wrong!
