The Misfit

I didn’t fit in
I’ll never fit in
I’ll never be what
The structure before me wants
It wanted to bend me like a pin
It couldn’t, I wouldn’t
So it has thrown  me out
To the waste bin!

I can’t fit in dishonesty
Which feigns grand cordiality
Where justice sits like Lazarus
Hungry, begging, naked outside
Despicable disparity!
My heart will be always outcast
In the house of vulgar vanity!

The vocation to love and foster
Orphaned souls, with truth to cater
Can’t fit in where hypocrisy struts
While it pampers its own pets
The lot undeserving, spoiled, waster
Shunning all ideals and principles
Passed through selfish twister!

Give Me a Pepsi Pipe If You Can

Icecream man, icecream man
Give me a pepsi  pipeif you can.

My pocket is empty and dry
Before mummy I must cry
 I couldn’t make it today
School Bus was near, so I ran.
Give me a pepsi pipe, if you can.

For a fruity cup I don’t ask
For you, it’d be a tough task
A thinny pepsi pipe will do
I’ll pay ‘morrow, touch your van.
Give me a pepsi pipe, if you can.

The Field is Mine

“None stands in line to stop me

Of opponents, the field is free

I’m rid of the whistling  referee

I’ll score as many goals at will!

To object no fool should dare

Child or old be, I’ll not spare

Slaps and kicks enrich my ware

When I wish, I can go for the kill!

This estate to possess and own

By the fief himself I am grown

To near and far let it be known

Plunder I will, my coffers to fill!”

 Wasn’t one destined from birth?

Gathered tools to rule the earth?

Cruel and bloody bereft of mirth?

Gone with hate heaped like hill!

Temptations

Assault, murder, theft, dishonesty
Everywhere morality is the casualty!

Selfishness is the appealing religion
That spreads its realm on and on!
Its devotees possess buck and fun
Their plumes proud, their tails feisty!

The Satan tempts the hunger pain,
With power's glory on the mountain,
On the temple peak with godly gain
With Savior Lord there’s victory!

Rejected

Half ripe, hued green, tempting

with a youthful  tinge on their cheeks

the beautiful guavas were on display

in a basket placed in front, for sale

40 rupees a kilogram was an attractive price

for people  with money in their purse

and they were selling like hot cakes!

Just beside the legs of the fruit seller

There was a plastic bag full of guavas?

‘Why are keeping them aside?’ asked I

They’re rejected, so kept underneath!

I inspected the guavas turning them about

Some of them had injury marks

Some had lost a wee piece somewhere

In the bump and bang of the transport

Some were just ripe and yellow

Otherwise, they were good for customers

Like me, who live without luxuries of life

That can only be bought with a fat purse!

And they were not less nourishing

Not less tasty or not less satisfying!

Rejected fruit and wasted food

They can fill many empty stomachs

Rejected blankets can embrace with warmth

The shivering humans in winter

Rejected dresses can cover many naked

Rejected hearts, rejected minds and hands

can quench the thirst of thousands

Like little rivers unnoticed by high dam builders

For producing electricity and canals

In God’s creation, nothing is waste

Nothing is rejected by Him

Except sin, lies, dishonesty and pride

Everything is good, beautiful and perfect!
